Once again, Alexandrea Weis has written characters that I just absolutely fell in love with. Lexie, the writer who will do anything to get her story, and Garrett, the Dom that just can't help the urge to try and tame her in the process, are explosive together. When they're not butting heads over Garrett's completely unreasonable desires (although perfectly reasonable within the BDSM culture), they have great chemistry together. I absolutely adored Lexie's continued spunk in spite of Garrett's attempts to tame her and make her the sub he was looking for.This was a fast paced story, really only spanning about three weeks, and I enjoyed how each chapter was a different day in their relationship. It made reading this book sort of like reading Lexie's diary. It's an incredibly detailed diary, but she is a writer, so that's not even really too far-fetched.
While this is the fifth book in Weis's Cover to Covers series, it CAN be read as a standalone. A few characters from other books in the series are mentioned, but you don't have to know their stories for this one to make sense. You will probably want to go read them afterwards anyway, but you don't have to.
I would definitely recommend this book to fans of 50 Shades of Grey and similar stories.

Great read. Loved Lexie & Garret's story.
I really enjoy Taming Me. Two strong personalities, both vulnerable. Good love story, but still leaves the reader wondering if their relationship will work.
This book is fantastic! I loved the interactions between Lexie and Garrett. The story line was very fresh and unique. Not only worth your money. But it's more then worth your time to read it. You will have no regrets purchasing this book. Or any other book by this author. The editing is also flawless.
Alexandrea is incredible with words. From the beginning you feel and live this story. The way she describes the people and places, makes you feel like you are in New Orleans with Lexie and Garrett! Just an amazing experience, because that is how this book makes you feel. This is one of those books that will catch you and never leave you!! Just still in awe over what a great storyline this was, the perfect amount of everything to leave you wanting more but also feeling happy, anger, and so many other emotions. A definite MUST read and one I am sure will be reread by many.
Taming Me was another incredible read from Alexandrea Weis! I love this author for her writing style and techniques! She has quite the comical side and as a huge fan I get to see a little bit in each book!
I knew I was getting into a great story but I had no idea of the genius angle she took to describe the secret details domination and submissive "relationship"
I was gasping and covering my eyes in many parts, just stunned at what I was reading ( in a good way). I teared up and was angry... I felt embarrassment and love.. it was great, just great!
These characters were suburb, intriguing and real. The plot of the story was amazing, erotic and unforgettable!
I have been wowed again and can't wait for what's next!!
If you have read the cover to cover series, you met Garrett on the previous installment, That night with you. If you haven't, it's okay because each book is uniquely theirs and you don't need to read them to get into the book. Off the back I had an appreciation that Alexandrea felt compelled to put readers awareness that not all D/s lifestyle is like Fifty shades. This is a lifestyle; the good, the bad, and there are definitely a lot of ugly. Most importantly, you felt that not all women are submissives, but that is life and more than okay. On to the review!
I love Lexie even though her walls are thicker than reinforced steel. Lexie, a writer, has come to the realization that the book industry has changed dramatically for a romance author. With a healthy shove from her Agent Al, she knew that if her next book was going to make any kind of money, she needed to step into the depths in the BDSM scene. What she doesn't bargain for is fully immersing herself when she meets a man who is the answer to all her problems.
Unfortunately, there is nothing easy taming a woman like Lexie, especially when she herself is dominant as any Dom in the scene there is. Garrett sees the challenge and decides that if Lexie wants to plunge into the depths of this Dom's mind, she needed to submit to him. The question was could she throw away all the apprehension and preconceived notions on the D/s lifestyle, or will she fail when they come out to play. While there was fiction for the purpose of the story, the author put for a great storyline together with valid D/s knowledge, a lot of sexual tension, and a whole lot of sexual frustration. The characters had depth and each grew with each passing day. Lastly, for the novice who is curious about the lifestyle, this will allow them to understand what could be out there. I loved the story and give it a proud five stars because, editing was flawless. It was thoroughly researched, characters were not vacuous personalities, cover was enticing, and enough depth that it made this a story of substance and not just sex on pages. Kudos!
